Rayjon Membership Meeting will be this Friday April 30th.

It begins at 7:30 PM in the meeting room of Sacred Heart Church.

Rayjon Membership meetings gather together the many wonderful volunteers to learn updates on Rayjon and socialize over drinks and treats.

Betsy Wall of FIDA, another NGO based in the kitchener area, is attending as a speaker with a perspective on the post earthquake situation in Haiti.  Also, the meeting will focus on trip reports, updates from Haiti in regards to the Earthquake disaster recovery, as well as provide information on this year’s Redbud and recruitment of volunteers.

We encourage a good turnout to help us stay aware of the state of the recovery of the Haitian people in the aftermath of the earthquake.

The Youth of Rayjon meet again!  On Sunday May 2 from 4-6 PM at the Rayjon office.

The office is at the corner of Vital Street and Confederation.

The Youth have many, many plans to discuss for this upcoming meeting.  We have a Birthday to celebrate, and a final look at our proposal to the board of the role of youth within Rayjon.  We are seeking many volunteers for the summer months for upcoming events:

Eduction Week Presenters: Monday May 3 – Friday May 7

Rayjon Retreat: May 7-8 (sleepover!)

Redbud BBQ- Youth with the Tongs: Friday June 11 & Saturday June 12

Rayjon BBQ: Friday June 18, bbq assists

On Friday April 23, beginning at 10 AM, three speakers from different organizations will be speaking to a group of young leaders from the Sarnia-Lambton community.  Each will have 20 minutes of their own time and a question/answer period will follow afterwards.  Rayjon Outreach Coordinator will be one of the pannel speakers, as well as a speaker from Pathways and Sarnia Red Cross.

This will be taking place at Sarnia Clearwater Arena.

Member and Public Engagement members will come together on Monday to discuss upcoming events.  A major focus on the meeting will be on the three new branches to Rayjon Outreach: Communications, Events and Presentations.  We need volunteers to work with a team approach to focus on the areas of their interst within these branches.

Plans for our upcoming Redbud Event will also be discussed.

Those interested in taking part with the Rayjon Website updates and maintenance are asked to attend the meeting 1 hour earlier to discuss roles and upkeeping.
