“Investing in women and girls is the single most promising economic, political, and social opportunity of our time. 2019 should be the year we treat it that way.”
These were Megan O’Donnell’s words in a recent article in Devex.
Thanks to all our supporters for joining us @ the Refined Fool (don’t miss the photos at the right of this page!) in celebration of International Women’s Day.-Together we are fostering a #BalanceforBetter. At the same time, Haitian women were also hosting a huge party and making their voices heard!
But the empowerment of women doesn’t end with International Women’s Day! In 2019-2020 Rayjon is partnering with this grassroots Women’s Federation in rural Haiti to build capacity of local women to advocate for their communities and achieve their goals. Together we plan to expand access to microcredit programming, and training in literacy, business skills, leadership and advocacy.
Will you help us empower women in Haiti?
Haitian women, particularly those in rural areas who are part of local Women’s Federations, are doing lots of amazing things to better their communities and to break the cycle of poverty. Supporting women’s initiatives in Haiti will empower Haitian women and help them to develop their potential, improve their communities, and achieve their goals.
