5th Annual Pierspective Entraide Humanitaire (PEH) fund raising Gala

On Saturday, November 22, 2014, John and Maggy Barnfield were proud to receive a prestigious humanitarian award on behalf of Rayjon Share Care.

The award was presented at the 5th Annual Pierspective Entraide Humanitaire (PEH) fund raising Gala in Toronto. PEH is well-known Toronto-based Haitian organization supporting education projects in Haiti. Personal greetings were received from a number of Provincial and Federal dignitaries, including a personal letter from Andrea Horwath, NDP Leader.

The award recognizes Rayjon’s almost thirty years of dedicated support of the people of Haiti.

2014  Rayjon Fall Fair

The Rayjon Fall Fair, which was held Saturday, September 20th was a resounding success. The weather cooperated, and  there was a marked increase in the number of shoppers, including many young families. Overall the profits exceeded anything we have had before.

$15,000 was raised overall & all monies will be put toward Rayjon’s projects in St. Marc & Cap Haitian in Haiti & Consuelo in the Dominican Republic.

A fundraiser like this takes many more people than just the organizing committee to make it a success. You, the Sarnia community, have once again shown such tremendous support of Rayjon, a local organization that has been part of our community for almost 30 years. We would not be who we are or where we are without you.

On behalf of the Fair Committee, I would like to thank everyone who supported us so generously, either by donating goods or time or by shopping at the Fair. We have much to celebrate together.
